PhD opportunity in synthetic chemistry and chemical biology, starting in October 2021!

We are looking to recruit a talented and motivated synthetic organic chemist to join our group and work on a new collaborative project at the chemistry/biology interface. This new project will focus on the development of novel molecular approaches to enhance the physico-chemical properties and bioactivity of small molecule chemical probes and drug candidates, with potentially profound implications in basic biological research and modern drug discovery. Strong knowledge and laboratory skills in synthetic organic chemistry will be essential. Exposure to other disciplines, for example biochemistry, cell and structural biology and biophysical techniques to study protein: small molecule interactions is a plus but not essential. If you are interested in learning more about the project, read the project description here. Note: read carefully the eligibility criteria and requirements described in the “Apply” section.
