Zhihao completed his undergraduate BSc Chemistry programme at the University of Liverpool. His final year project was focused on the sustainability of the organic synthesis and teaching labs under the supervision of Dr Gina Washbourn and Dr Catherine Cropper. After that, he moved to the University of Southampton for his MSc Chemistry by research programme which focuses on the synthesis and evaluation of new small molecules to find a possible treatment for multiple sulfatase deficiency.
